Go Green in 2015

threeAt ABR Industries we always ship our cables to our dealers  with a green cap. It’s just our way of giving you the green light that our coax cable are ready to go.  At ABR Industries all our coaxial assemblies are 100% tested and inspected prior to shipment. A Hi-Pot test (per MIL-STD-202 M301) ensures electrical integrity and a continuity test looks for opens and shorts.  We also perform a visual and mechanical inspection for length, label information and workmanship.

Our competitors are green with envy…

On Your Mark, Get Set, Go With ABR Cables

formulaone-coax-cablesThe sport of racing is something that appeals to Americans across all social and economic classes. From Formula 1 and NASCAR, to the local BMX dirt track or demolition derby, the thrills and spills never get old.

We recently mentioned on this site that ABR designs, manufactures and distributes RF coax cable assemblies and connectors for two-way radio communications like those used by NASCAR. Another place to find our cables on the track is in an RFID race timing system, also known as a chip timing system.

As Atlas RFID points out in their blog, many new race directors and race timers are eager to build their own chip timing system using RFID technology. In fact, Atlas put together a do-it-yourself kit to help customers build a race timing system. This kit includes American Built and Reliable RFID antenna cables manufactured by ABR Industries.

Whether purchasing ABR cables from the Atlas RFID Store or directly from us, custom cable lengths are available to suit your system. And to determine the best product choices, customers can send pictures of the connectors needed to connect with their specific RFID antenna system.

No matter what kind of racing thrills you, contact ABR today to fulfill your need for speed.

Remote Oil and Gas Sites Call for Quality Coax

Among the many challenges presented by the oil and gas sector are the logistical difficulties of working in remote locations. A prime example is the lack of permanent infrastructure, such as telecommunications towers for mobile phone and data networks.

These types of remote locations, whether an offshore oil rig or a far-flung gas field, rely on quality coax cables to connect portable satellite dishes or cellular microwave radios for reliable wireless communications signals.

In addition to the need for emergency communications, such as ship to shore radios, many oil and gas sites today are equipped with field measurement instruments that require uninterrupted connections to transmit critical data. Loss of connection to these remote locations can not only endanger safety, but it can also result in significant production losses.

Rugged coax cables from ABR provide the level of dependability needed to help maintain seamless operations for safety and profitability, even in the kind of hostile environments typical of oil and gas operations. On the rig or in a downtown office, workers expect the communications experience to be the same, particularly with regard to mission critical communications.
